About David
Twenty-two years in uniform. Every day since, in service to clients.

I'm David Wahlers — a retired U.S. Army Warrant Officer, a father of three, and a real estate broker based in Yelm, Washington.
A career built on precision and trust
I served 22 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Warrant Officer. My career included service as a 131A Targeting Technician — a field where careful analysis, attention to detail, and clear communication aren't optional. Lives and missions depend on getting it right.
Along the way, my family and I lived in New Jersey, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas before calling the South Sound home. I've experienced the PCS cycle firsthand: the orders, the timelines, the house-hunting from a distance, and the relief of finally getting the keys.
Why real estate
Real estate has been a long-standing passion. I invested in my education early, earning a real estate associate degree from American Military University in 2014, and I continue learning every day. Real estate let me keep doing what I valued most about military service: taking care of people and accomplishing the mission.
How I work
My approach is simple. Understand your objective, build a clear plan, communicate constantly, and execute. I hold myself to a high standard of ethics, and I'll always give you an honest assessment — even when it isn't the easy answer.
I serve military and civilian clients alike: PCS families and VA buyers, first-time and move-up buyers, sellers, investors, and buyers looking for land, acreage, or waterfront homes across Pierce, Thurston, King, and Lewis Counties.
Outside of work
You'll find me training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, lifting, snowboarding, or riding my motorcycle — but my favorite time is spent with my three kids.
